Matt Teichman is Programming Specialist at the Digital Library Development Center at the University of Chicago, where he builds tooling and infrastructure for backend developers, writes web applications that assist with document delivery and electronic resource management, creates software for digital archivists, and runs educational workshops. His main areas of interest are functional programming, type theory, UNIX systems, and open source software. He is project lead on Attachment Converter, the Library’s first ever open-source software release, which was funded by a Mellon grant in 2020, and he is also producer and lead host of the Elucidations podcast (https://elucidations.vercel.app), which was awarded two Emergent Ventures grants (https://www.mercatus.org/emergentventures) through the Mercatus Center.
