Tamara is passionate about making programming learning approachable to all students. Her research focuses on programming education for alternative endpoints in computing, studying how programming is taught outside of computer science degree programs. She earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Michigan, having previously completed a BS in Computer Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Outside of computer science, Tamara is involved in textile arts and artistic swimming.
